Cell culture essentials

Keep mammalian cells healthy, counted, contamination-free and safely frozen.

  1. Work in the hood without contaminating cultures, and split them at the right density.

  2. Feed cells the medium and supplements they actually need.

  3. Count live cells so every experiment starts from the same number.

  4. Catch mycoplasma, microbes and misidentified lines before they ruin months of work.

  5. Freeze stocks so you can always go back to early-passage cells.
